IT IS FAKE!!! - Ghanaians React To Jim Iyke's Deliverance

Nigerian actor, Jim Iyke who got his deliverance yesterday at The Synagogue is now a very unpopular man in Ghana owing to his relationship with star Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari as some of that country’s citizens see his alleged deliverance as a fraud. According to popular entertainment Ghanaian website, ghanacelebrities.com, many of Nadia’s fans claim Jim must have orchestrated the delivery so as to dupe Nadia into marriage.

This Jim Iyke deliverance is drawing lots of reactions from every corner and his colleague are not left out. Check out what Segun Arinze and Charles Novia got to say below:

Actor and former AGN president Segun Arinze reacted on his Blackberry. He wrote:

"This Jim Iyke's deliverance video at the Synagogue trending looks too contrived. It's a big embarrassment. Has anyone ever seen demons come out live and speak? Una fit stand demons? Una carry Nollywood enter Church, abi? How much did he get paid? I'm just wondering. Make una stop all these nonsense play. Haba. Stranger than fiction!

Bianca Johnson, a socialite has made a statement concerning how Nigerians made Jim Iyke's deliverance a big deal and said little or nothing about the students who were killed while sleeping in Yobe on the same day. Her words below;

Actor Jim Iyke went to TB Joshua to get deliverance and it went viral...same day Boko Haram militant shot and killed over 60 students in Yobe college dorm while they sleep, Nigerians swept it under the rug, business as usual. Who gives a damn if Jim has 99 demons...I guess 60 innocent and harmless dead bodies are not as sensational as Jim Iyke. May their souls rest in peace. Amen!

A list of top Nigerian highest paid hip-hop artistes was recently released by Encomium magazine; perfectly researched and confirmed. The list had the music duo of P’Square topping it as the highest paid hip hop act. The music duo are learnt to be charging between N9 and N10 million for a show within Nigeria.

President Goodluck Jonathan has handed over the share certificates and licenses to 14 new owners of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN successor companies with an assurance that things will get better in the power sector. Jonathan described the process of the privatisation programme as the most transparent in the history of privatisation in the country.

Meanwhile PHCN staff are not happy about this improvement because their salaries are yet to be paid. They protested this morning in Governemnt offices in Abuja and Lagos, and also warned the new investors to stay away from power installations for now until their demands are met. 10 Year-Old Nigerian Girl, Zuriel Oduwole Interviews American Civil Rights Leader Jesse Jackson

Nigeria's whiz kid, Zuriel Oduwole has added American Civil Rights leader, Reverend Jesse Jackson to the list of world leaders she has interviewed. a list which includes eight African Presidents, Africa's richest person Aliko Dangote, tennis super stars Venus and Serena Williams and now Jesse Jackson.
Oduwole, who is youngest person to be interviewed for a feature by Forbes magazine when she was 10 sat for a camera interview with Rev Jackson at the Annual Clinton Global Initiative in New York. Jackson, who was with the reverend Martin Luther King Jr till his last seconds before he was assassinated in Memphis Tennessee in 1968, gave a no holds barred interview to Zuriel on Thursday September 26th, discussing topics including what it meant to him when Barack Obama, a Kenyan, became the 44th President of the United States.

Jennifer Teege and her grandfather, Amon Goeth

Nigerian-German woman Jennifer Teege grew up in a foster family. Only at age 38 did she discover her biological family’s shocking history.

Teege is the child of a Nigerian student and the German daughter of Amon Goeth, the commandant of the Plaszow concentration camp outside Krakow in today’s Poland who featured in Steven Spielberg’s 1993 Holocaust drama “Schindler’s List”. Her grandfather, Amon Goeth was a sadistic Nazi criminal. Teege deals with the revelations in her new book.

In a very recent interview with a national newspaper, movie star Kate Henshaw who separated from her husband in 2011 cleared the air on her marital status why she is still single and her career.
When asked why she separated from her husband she said "I just decided that, ok, it didn’t work. Next, I had to move on. There is no need holding on to the past – no need holding on to something if it’s not working any more. There is no need flogging a dead horse since it is already lifeless. And when you decide to bury the horse, would you not leave the grave site afterwards? You would go now.

TRAGIC: Dozens Of Students Killed As Boko Haram Attacks College Of Agriculture, Yobe

Unknown gunmen have launched a vicious attack on the College of Agriculture in Yobe state, killing an unspecified number of students.

Details of the attack are still sketchy but the provost of the college, Mulima Mata, confirmed the incident, which the News Agency of Nigeria said occurred early Sunday morning in the Gujba district of the state.

Reports say the students were shot dead as they slept in their dormitory.

She celebrated her 22nd Birthday party list night at the AURA Night Club in Victoria Island, Lagos with her sweetheart Angelo Collins. Her former Big Brother housemates Bimp and Bassey also came to party with her. Happy Birthday to her! More pics after the cut.....

A Nigerian, Lawal Babafemi, 33, was on Friday arraigned in a U.S. Federal Court, on charges of providing material support to al Qaeda and criminal use of firearms.

Babafemi, who is also known as “Ayatollah Mustapha’’, was arraigned on a four-count charge of indictment, conspiracy, providing material support to AQAP, and use of firearms.

He allegedly provided the support to the group in the Arabian Peninsula, the terrorist organisation’s Yemen-based affiliate.

A 44-year old accountant and mother, Tolu Kalejaiye was found dead in her London home on Thursday. She was found lying on her back, in her kitchen, with a large laceration to the left side of her neck. Her 21-year old son, Oludotun Emmanual Kalejaiye, who lives with her has been charged with murder after being held in custody and questioned overnight by the police. Her neighbors have described her as a gentle hardworking lady who is very pleasant. Her son appeared in court yesterday.

A Boat Carrying 150 Passengers Capsize In River Niger! No Survivor Found Yet

No fewer than 42 people were drowned in a boat mishap on River Niger close to Malilli village in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger when traders were returning from Malilli Village to Tunga Illo village, after the day’s market.

The boat which had over 150 passengers capsized midway and drowned 42 people, while 100 others were missing. Local divers helped in recovering the corpses and are still looking for more. The Secretary to the State Government who confirmed the incident said; ''We believe that the boat was overloaded because the boat’s capacity was put at 60 passengers, but over 150 passengers were said to be on board during the incident. The debris in the swollen river may also have been responsible for the incident''

The recovered corpses would be given a mass burial close to the river bank, and neighboring villages have also been alerted to look out for floating corpses.

Miss Philippines crowned Miss World 2013, Miss Ghana came 3rd

The 2013 Miss World pageant held yesterday Saturday September 28th at Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center in Bali, Indonesia. Miss Philippines Megan Young (pictured left) beat 126 other contestants to win Miss World 2013. Miss France Marine Lorphelin was named runner-up, while Miss Ghana Carranzar Naa Okailey Shooter (pictured right) came third.

Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka Escaped Death In Kenya

Nigeria's Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, would have been among the dead in the terror attack that took place at the Nairobi Westgate mall in Kenya last weekend.

Speaking at a press conference at the Freedom Park in Victoria Island, Lagos, on Friday in honour of the late Ghanaian poet, Professor Kofi Awoonor who died in the attack, Soyinka led a group of Nigerian writers to condemn the Nairobi massacre.

“Those who organised and carried out the outrage on innocent lives in Nairobi are carriers of the most lethal virus of corruption imaginable – corruption of the soul, corruption of the spirit, corruption of that animating humanistic essence that separates us from predatory beasts." Soyinka said he and Prof Awoonor would have attended the Storymoja/Hay Literature Festival, but couldn’t be there with him due to other pressing engagements he had elsewhere. “My absence was particularly regrettable, because I had planned to make up for my failure to turn up for the immediate prior edition. Participant or absentee however, this is one edition we shall not soon forget,” he said.

The literary iconic said, giving his close relationship with Awoonor, he might have been at the same place with him and could have been shot as well. He said: “Kofi and I could have been splitting a bottle at that same watering hole in between events and at the end of each day.”

Condemning the use of religion to commit atrocities, Soyinka, who spoke on the theme, “Humanity and Against,” said: "I am no theologian of any religion, but I aver that these assailants delude themselves with vistas of paradise after life, that their delusion is born of the perverted reading of salvation and redemption.”

French National Kidnapped By Ansaru Calls For “Negotiations”

Nigerian Islamist group Ansaru (Ansar al-Muslimeen) on Friday released a video of a French national kidnapped in December, the SITE jihadi tracking website said.

In the video, posted online, the hostage identifies himself as 63-year-old Francis Collomp, an engineer with the French firm Vergnet, who was “kidnapped in Rimi in Katsina state on 19 December 2012 till today, 25 September 2013.”

She will be celebrating her birthday later today at Aura Night club on the Island with Denrele hosting the red carpet. This drama just unfolded on twitter. Joy Bewaji is a writer and publicist. She claims Makosi, an Abuja based presenter has released her book, without her permission. According to her, Makosi begged her to make her a star, so they agreed on a book. Joy wrote the book for two months and after presenting it to Makosi, Joy said she rubbished it and said she didn't like it. Now Makosi just launched a book in Abuja, the same book.
